The Central Texas Vet-Ride program will cease operations on December 31, 2025.

Services will continue as normal through that date, and all scheduled rides will be honored until the program concludes. It has been our privilege to serve our community and assist their transportation needs in partnership with the Texas Veterans Commission.

Central Texas Vet-Ride Program

The Central Texas Vet-Ride program will provide veterans and their dependents transportation services including daily, weekly, or monthly, ride-share services in local area in support of basic needs, work, school, medical appointments, or other non-social events or activities. The Central Texas Aging Disability and Veterans Resource Center in partnership with The HOP will utilize the Micro Transit Ride Share system for the TVC grant.

Transportation services are for the following:

  • Medical Appointments
  • Grocery Stores
  • School
  • Shopping
  • Federal, State, and Local Offices

Eligibility Status

  1. Must be a Veteran, Veteran Dependent, or Surviving Spouse.
  2. Must Be a Resident of Texas
  3. Veteran Status: Honorable, General Under Honorable Conditions, Other Than Honorable Conditions, and Uncharacterized
  4. Completed Client Information Release
